Definition : Molecular assay reagents intended to identify mutations in the arginine vasopressin receptor 2 (nephrogenic diabetes insipidus) (AVPR2) gene, located at chromosome Xq28, which encodes for vasopressor receptor type 2 (V2). Mutations at this locus have been identified in male patients with early-onset nephrogenic diabetes insipidus (AVRP2).
