Sizers, Vascular Graft

Definition : Sizers designed to measure and calibrate the vascular lumen of a vessel that will be replaced by a vascular graft. These sizers typically consist of a set of disposable flat single- and/or dual-gauge instruments made of biocompatible synthetic materials and usually calibrated in millimeters (e.g., 5 to 24 mm, 24 to 38 mm). Vascular graft sizers are intended to facilitate the selection of the size of the vascular graft (e.g., a synthetic knitted graft) to be implanted.
