Definition : Equipment designed for automated pressing (i.e., ironing) and smoothing cloth and other fabrics. This equipment typically includes a set of moving bands intended to press the laundry, a heating system (e.g., steam, electrical), and controls to adjust the temperature and the band speed according with the material and the humidity content of the fabric. Laundry presses are available in many sizes and using several configurations.
