Definition : Laboratory incubators designed to provide the heating and/or cooling sequences required for DNA hybridization processes using microarrays. These incubators typically include a removable, frequently rotating rack with various rotation speeds and a wide temperature control range (e.g., 5 to 90 degrees Celcius). Some incubators include racks that support hybridization chambers designed to encase the microarrays in an air- or watertight environment.
