Definition : Needles designed for injection of fluids in the fibrous connective tissue (i.e., ligament) that surrounds the root of a tooth (i.e., intraligamentary) and separates it from the alveolar bone. These needles are mostly used to inject the dosage required to anesthetize a single tooth, providing rapid diffusion of the anesthetic.
