IVD Test Reagent/Kits, Immunoassay, Protein, Alpha-1-Microglobulin

Definition : Immunoassay reagents intended to perform qualitative and/or quantitative analyses on a body fluid sample (e.g., plasma, serum, urine, amniotic fluid) to determine the protein alpha-1-microglobulin (A1MG), a low-molecular-weight protein. Increased ratios of alpha-1-microglobulin/creatinine in urine are associated with kidney tubule and/or glomerular damage, especially in children. High levels of placental A1MG in the serum of pregnant woman may be considered an indicator of intrauterine diseases (e.g., intrauterine hypoxia).

Entry Terms : "Alpha-1-Microglobulin (A1MG) Determination Reagents" , "A1-Microglobulin Determination Reagents" , "A1MG (Alpha-1-Microglobulin) Determination Reagents" , "Reagents, Immunoassay, Protein, Alpha-1-Microglobulin"
