IVD Test Reagent/Kits, Molecular Assay, Immunology, Tissue Typing, Human Leukocyte Antigen, Class II, DR Loci
Definition : Molecular assay reagents used in immunological tests to determine one or more of the alleles of the cell-surface proteins coded in the locus DR of the class II genes of the major histocompatibility complex. These tests are mostly used to match donor and recipient tissues before transplants (e.g., kidney, bone marrow). Several alleles (e.g., DR3, DR4) are associated with immune diseases.
