IVD Test Reagent/Kits, Immunoassay, Rapid Test, Toxicology
Definition : Immunoassay reagents intended to perform qualitative analyses on a body fluid sample (typically urine, but also serum or plasma) to determine in a short period of time, typically several minutes, one or more of a group of drugs that are toxic when taken in overdose (e.g., alcohol, acetaminophen, salicylates). They are also used to determined other chemical agents that may be accidentally or intentionally ingested. Rapid tests for toxic drug determination are mostly used in emergency situations.
