IVD Test Reagent/Kits, Clinical Chemistry, Electrolyte, Magnesium
Definition : Clinical chemistry reagents intended to perform qualitative and/or quantitative chemical analysis in a sample of a body fluid (typically serum, plasma, or urine) to determine the magnesium electrolyte (Mg++) level. A low level of magnesium in serum or plasma (i.e., hypomagnesemia) is associated with impairment of the neuromuscular functions (e.g., convulsions, cardiac arrhythmias) but is not a reliable marker of magnesium deficiency by itself.
Entry Terms : "Magnesium Determination Reagents" , "Reagents, Clinical Chemistry, Electrolyte, Magnesium"
UMDC code : 18953
