Definition : Clinical chemistry reagents intended to perform qualitative and/or quantitative chemical analysis of an urine sample to determine the total level of protein. Increased levels of protein in urine (i.e., proteinuria) have several causes; the most common and serious is kidney injury, common to several diseases (e.g., diabetes, systemic lupus erythematosus).
