Definition : Systems designed for the minimally invasive treatment of diseases by applying electromagnetic energy, usually in the frequency range from 10 kHz to several megahertz. These systems typically consist of a radio-frequency generator and a delivery system that may include applicators, cables, electrodes, and/or catheters; the power and frequency of the generator and the configuration of the delivery system depend on the intended use.
