Cytometers, Automated, Electrical Impedance
Definition : Automated cytometers that measure the change in electrical impedance introduced by a suspension of cells in a conductive liquid when passing through an orifice. These cytometers include one electrode submerged in the cell suspension and one submerged in the aperture tube. The change in the impedance of the electrical path as the cells pass generates electrical pulses, which can be electronically counted and sized according to the number and volume of the cells.
Entry Terms : "Impedance Cytometers" , "Electrical Impedance Cytometers" , "Coulter Cytometers" , "Coulter Cell Counters"
