Lasers, Er:YSGG

Definition : Solid-state lasers with a rod of yttrium-scandium-gallium garnet (YSGG) crystal doped with erbium, a rare earth element, as the active medium. Their emission wavelength is typically 2,790 nm (midinfrared). Er:YSGG lasers are usually operated in pulsed modes; their energy can be delivered through a flexible optical fiber.
