Definition : Orthopedic operating tables designed for optimal patient positioning and surgical team access while performing spinal surgical procedures. These tables usually include a base, pedestal, and an upper-body radiolucent rotational support with capabilities up to 360 degrees. The table allows intraoperative fluoroscopy. Spinal operating tables are used for lumbar and cervical spinal surgery, including surgical procedures for correction of deformities (e.g., osteotomies, laminectomies).
