Ophthalmoscopes, Scanning Laser
Definition : Ophthalmoscopes that use a low-power laser beam for scanning horizontally and vertically across the retina, producing an electronic image with depth resolution, which is particularly valuable in creating three-dimensional (topographic) images of the optic disc. Retinal conditions such as edemas, scars, and macular holes are assessed using this technique.
