Warming Units, Patient

Definition : Units that help regulate a patient's temperature by adding heat. These units usually include a central device with heating elements, controls, alarms, and some means (e.g., blankets) to deliver heat to the patient. Patient warming units treat patients for or protect patients from hypothermia; they are frequently used to help maintain normal body temperature during and after surgery.
