Definition : Implantable vascular clips designed for extravascular occlusion of aneurysms in the vasculature outside the cranium. These clips are typically small metal devices that are externally applied to the aneurysm using dedicated appliers. Aneurysm extracranial implantable blood vessel clips are used mainly for hemostasis, to facilitate surgical procedures, and/or interrupt blood circulation into a vessel aneurysm.
