IVD Test Reagent/Kits, Cytology/Histology, Embedding Media
Definition : Reagents used as a medium capable of surrounding and filling the spaces of a tissue so that thin sections can be cut with a microtome for histologic examination. Most embedding media consist of paraffin, synthetic polymers, or combinations of both. These media may be specific for light and/or electron microscopy examinations.
