Electric Plugs, Explosion-Proof
Definition : Electric plugs designed for insertion into matching electric receptacles in damp, corrosive, or hazardous locations where some type of explosion might occur. These electric plugs are usually grounded and greatly insulated. Explosion-proof electric plugs also eliminate the risk of drawing excessive current beyond maximum continuous rating on equipment. They are usually intended to be used in designated wet locations where other types of electric plugs are not clinically acceptable.
