Definition : Nd:YAG frequency-doubled lasers, usually operated in pulsed modes, used to coagulate abnormal vascular tissue in the retina and other photocoagulation procedures in the eye. They are typically coupled to a biomicroscope slit lamp or an indirect ophthalmoscope.
