The ThinPrep® Pap test is the only liquid-based cytology
method approved by the FDA as “significantly more effective”
than the conventional Pap smear for the detection of cervical
abnormalities. It employs a fluid transport medium to preserve
cells, eliminate debris and uniformly distribute a representative
sampling of cells on a slide.
