Aplicare's Sterile Skin Protectant Swabstick prepares the skin for maximum adhesion of a dressing or bandage. When dry, it leaves a thin film on the skin's surface. This provides a clean surface and a barrier to the natural body oils that can affect the adhesion of a dressing or tape. It also helps prevent skin irritation caused by repeated dressing changes. Unlike Tincture of Benzoin, Skin Protectant has a mild odor, is colorless and is easily removed with soap and water.
