Molteni Farmaceutici was created in 1892 and started its manufacturing activity at the Molteni Pharmacy laboratory located in the historic center of Florence. In the same year was published the first Italian Official Pharmacopoeia.
At the beginning of 1900 Molteni was already an important Company with a factory specialized in manufacturing injectables covered by its own patent. Nowadays Molteni Farmaceutici owns a vast area territory of about 10000 sq meters just few kilometres out the city center, in direction of the Statal way to Pisa.
