The Phoresis is a state-of-the-art digital imaging system which allows scanning and storage of electrophoresis results from any Sebia gel including immunofixation. This system provides benefits to any size laboratory.
It is so easy to use; simply place completed agarose gels on the high definition flatbed scanner select the test or tests and scan! The image of the electrophoretic migration is scanned by light transmission and is automatically converted into an optical density curve presentation. Both the curve and the gel pattern are displayed.

Overview of Basic Operation
Setting up a press is logical and uncomplicated. After keying in job parameters (type of press/sheet size/colorbar structure), position the colorbar between two horizontal scribelines and against the side guide. The vacuum hold-down secures sheet placement and the SDT does the rest.

Advanced 2-dimensional scanning in a few seconds
Densities are rapidly measured and recorded as the scanning head sweeps across the sheet, methodically evaluating your targeted points along both X and Y axes. The SXY measures absolute or relative density, dot grain, trap and contrast for comparison with your "OK" sheet or reference standards. A press sheet can be completely scanned in a few seconds.
The SXY lets you switch quickly among the running jobs in a few keystrokes – no need to reinitiate the entire sequence.

The UN‑SCAN‑IT gel software turns your scanner into a high speed densitometer and allows you to automatically analyze gel images at Full Scanner Resolution. UN‑SCAN‑IT gel works with any scanner, digital camera, or other image input device to digitize electrophoresis gels. In addition to the gel analysis features, UN‑SCAN‑IT gel also contains all the (x,y) digitizing and graphing features of regular UN‑SCAN‑IT. The digitized gel and (x,y) data can be exported into a most other software programs.
If you have ever had to guess at the intensity or location of gel bands, hold two gels up to a lig
